Since November 2019 and April 11 2025 I have lost my aunt to cancer, grandma to dementia and cancer, good friend to genetic disease, my pet cats in a fire, my brother to heart disease. The toll for living longer is that you have to see everyone you grew up loving die.

I lost my brother about six weeks ago and it’s just beginning to register. The initial weeks were just numb shock.
