I'm sure it did. Vancouver had 4.28 xG for and 0.88 xG against after their first goal (3.4 xGD). Take off the 2 PKs and it drops to 1.8 xGD and removing all the goals drops it to 0.86 xGD. Don't have the full data set though so couldn't tell you the overall impact.

Unless I'm mistaken, Philly would be at 66 points with a win this weekend and Vancouver can get to 66 points if they win their final 3 matches.

Just to add on to this, 2014 was our second best at 1.29 open-play goals / 90. The only non-MLS games we had that year were 5 USOC games and a mid-season friendly against Tottenham. We've already played 35 games this season with 9 regular season matches left to play.

First season was 2022, so this is season #4.

Groups couldn't have multiple teams from the same region except UEFA, so we were only ever going to have at most 1 South American team. If nothing else it's cool to get to play a game against the team we got JP from.
