We live in a weird, judgmental world, just be glad you're not missing out on amazing people by keeping yourself in that kind of box. It's funny to think about, folks that put other people in boxes seem like they're restricting those people, when they're really only restricting themselves! 😅🤷‍♂️🙄

Am I correct in assuming that she sells said toothbrush? 😅 Even if not that's pretty suspicious, little electric motors should be good for 5-10 years and if anything was going to go in two I'd wager it's the battery. Especially for something you're using what? 4-10 minutes a day? Wasteful indeed! 😒

I'm having trouble imagining a dentist in 2025 that's never worked on someone with a piercing before 🤷‍♂️😲 I had a small piercing business in the back of a friends magick and alternative lifestyles shop in Portland, Maine USA back in what 1993? 1994? And here we are 30 years later??? Insanity!! 😂

I've got to admit, I've wished more than a couple of times there was a place where I could pay you for a megabundle of all your ref pics. Any thought of ever opening a Gumroad store or something like that? Something that would at least cover it's own costs as opposed to a static hosted site.

I'm not holding my breath though...

The current state of AI is literally the end goal of enshittification, there's definitely no way for the absolute epitome of something to avoid it. Could AI be rolled out, in some bottom up way that lifts everyone in society up equally and thus be the end of enshittification? Sure, I guess. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure how many folks are Australian enough to get this joke 😅

Unfortunately (fortunately?) it was intermittent so when it sorted itself out it just stopped happening but it was doing what yours is doing now.

My system has a MSI MoBo, Corsair RAM, and is running Win10 Pro 64 which may or may not make a difference 🤷‍♂️

- fried her display connector and a couple of other things. 😬

+1 on the RAM for yours though. I was having an issue on my desktop a couple years back like this that was due to my RAM. I tried reseating it and updated the firmware of the memory itself and eventually it sorted itself out.

Probably not your issue, but the humidity in Bristol fried (ish) Teija’s computer while we were there. I guess it had previous water damage that didn’t cause any issues, but left some white oxides which are apparently very hygroscopic so they absorbed all the moisture from the air and -

My pleasure! 😄

For me recently this was “Vitamin V” (Vyvanse/Elvanse) . Prior to that it was (is) the combination of a CPAP, Trazodone, and 5-10 mg of prescription melatonin. Both times changed my life entirely #ADHD #Insomnia #SleepApnea

I was pretty young when I saw it, but I also saw Fantastic Planet when I was very young too. I don’t think I had any expectations when I saw it but I’m glad they helped build whatever set of brain wrinkles I got 😅

I saw Clan of the Cave Bear too, but it blends in my mind with Quest for Fire TBF 😄

Right??!?! 😃

These two, because I think more people need to recognize that the one is clearly a prequel of the other 😅

It's a podcast featuring authors and industry professionals talking about the realities, good and not so good, about the traditional publishing process, agents, contracts, rights, etc. Either way, I just wanted to remind him of it! Hope you find it helpful!

@writersandartists.bsky.social at the conference I was telling James about the @publishingrodeo.bsky.social podcast, and that I thought it might be a massively helpful resource to the greater Writers and Artists community.
