Last season, Zets got pelters for his infuriatingly random kicking, but even that has improved this season. He's settled into his work really well.

...And played the full 90! Massive credit to him for stepping up when the chance came. Hopefully, he can go again on Tuesday 🙏

We shall see! When I polled the WhatsApp group, most of the guys agreed with you.

I went with Nyambe, on the logic that Sheff U have a dangerous attacking left wing back in Harrison Burrows, also because I'm not sure where Ward's fitness is at, after he's been out for so long.

Like everyone else, Johnston went a level up yesterday, so I'm gutted for him. Personally, I *am* concerned about the RWB position, due to Nyambe and Ward both having limitations in different ways. My mates are telling me Ward has to play there. Remains to be seen if he can cope with it physically.

Budget-wise, I'd be surprised if there's a lot to play with in January, but it would be good to see a bit more squad evolution, if possible. Getting a couple to leave (e.g. Ward, Jackson, Blackett-Taylor) would be essential to make room for additions.

It's a difficult one, because Eustace clearly didn't fancy him. However, going into the season with only four specialist midfielders has very quickly been shown to be a mistake. I think it's fair to say that #dcfc didn't quite get the balance of the squad right by the end of the last window.

Summary - the players who left #dcfc permanently went to League Two, non-league, or official / effective retirement.

Three players were loaned to League One clubs (Daj Brown, Jake Rooney, Ben Osborn). No players left for a Championship club, although Kenzo Goudmijn was loaned to Go Ahead Eagles 🇳🇱

Kane Wilson - the Buffalo joined Mendez-Laing and Warne at MK at the end of the window. Like NML, that is below his level, but Warne is being backed to secure promotion.
