Honestly? I should put more time into this.
It's very pretty!
But it's so fucking unforgiving.
It feels like a shitpost.
From you not having any Iframes.
Softlocking really easily.
And it's so fast paced.
A mess. Idfk.. just idfk...

It's a 2D side scroller where you gotta manually tilt your bike to do like wheelies to get over shit, jump into loops, ect ect.
Definitely not the best game on the Gameboy. But I appreciate it not being a standard racing game.

Fuck this games ass. But like in a camp way.
There's something incredibly funny about walking as slow as a human can. While being chased by instant death spikes for like 5 mins.
Then having to restart that whole process because you failed a near perfect jump. I love it.

It's a breakout clone and a mediocre one at that. It controls *fine* and breakout isn't a bad game imo.
Just a style that's been improved in all ways in more recent years.
However! I do think it having no continues/a proper ending does raise the stakes and I greatly appreciate.

This game *feels* like a prototype and I kinda fucking love it.
There's something about playing a first-party mario game that is very clearly just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what works that I find really charming! Good shit! It's just a bit short.

So bad vibes! My brain isn't smart enough to enjoy the puzzles, and it's too slow to combat my 5 min crafts brain rot.
Lastly, I hate how when I hear the word lemmings, I think about the game and not the animal
They are so cute

like heres some footage of the recently translated Wonder Trek.
this isnt a cutscene, or out of bounds camera glitch, this just is the game during gameplay. agh i love it

I think SA2 might be the best example of friction against the player adding to the game.
SA2 could of so easily been yet another standard 3D platformer with a wacky 2000s plot. 1/4

Woah its heavily inspired by metal gear solid 2???.
The opening is really fucking rough/directionless.
The camera feels so much better everytime your in a tight hallway compared to wide open areas. 1/3
