I understand it was risky. I'm just saying I don't blame any team for bringing in a veteran to help mentor a rookie QB. That model has proven to work. There was still a decent chance Cousins played well for another year or two.

The Falcons didn't know that when they signed the deal. Other teams were also ready to sign Cousins. Can't blame any team for trying to get the QB position right.
