@slimshaders.bsky.social quickly correcting myself, #2 should be possible as long as Nextcloud let's you set up a webhook endpoint, as Eric mentioned there'd be generic webhook support for notes and transcriptions :)

I disagree! Not the same market. They're not trying to be like other smart rings, this has a specific targeted purpose. Were it rechargeable, I'd have already pre-ordered one.

Can't comment on #1, but re. #2 I'd suspect probably not out of the box but as the app and stack is open source yourself or another dev could probably make a PR to add Nextcloud note/recording backup support to the official app.

I think the community has already made apps for this like a decade ago :)
I don't know if any already exist using a local LLM on the device, but if you paid a dev you could probably get something bespoke make in about a month or so using the provided SDKs.
Or if you can code, could try yourself!
