Quick math question, if I have a supply of something, say I have 98 of it that I am willing to sell. But then I decide actually I only want to sell 95 of that thing(I just change my mind about 3 of them). Is there less supply?

Step 1, take a local market with ma and pa landlords with 98% rental occupancy, buy them out.

Setup 2. Use YieldStar or Realpage and change occupancy rate to 95%

Step 3 profit.

Step 4, point out that not the exact same unit is being kept vacant all the time nothing to see here
