Meanwhile on the home front: I persist in having nothing useful to add (beyond heartfelt expletives of furious agreement) to what other more articulate voices have said about all the shit going on in the nation and the world, so here instead is Mr Swayze consoling me with his adorableness.

Actually, haven't posted a photo of Mr Swayze in awhile. He's continued to be a great help in staying grounded in the moment and releasing unhelpful crisis-anxiety.

Mr Catrick Swayze, my elderly shelter-rescue buddy. I have long maintained that keeping a pet may be expensive but it's cheaper than therapy. I've been especially grateful for Mr Swayze's comforting presence during these days of Fear and Loathing.

A major source of joy ever since I adopted him this past August is this well-seasoned (12-14 year old) gentlecat who now goes by the name of Mr Catrick Swayze. He delights in showing me his latest creative sleeping poses.
