More clarity on how this deal is going to play out. This week house Dems will force house Gop to vote on extending the aca tax credits for health insurance. It either passes and the whole thing goes back to the senate or it goes down and all the gop are on record against it. If it goes down then in January, when this cr expires, the government shuts down again. This time snap and veterans are funded so they aren't held hostage. But now EVERYONE ACTUALLY KNOWS what the gop is doing to them. So, we are then back to the same fight with the Gop and #DementiaDonOld having fewer pain points they can inflict. ~ Denn Santoro

In addition, SNAP and vet benefits were funded through the end of the year. So,no, they didn't get nothing. They didn't get aca tax credits but the gop will surely be on the hook for that.
Why the senate dems "cave" is a win Only 8 caved (5 new ones, 3 had already been voting for the agreement). None of them are running in the next cycle. So they can be the scapegoat. Gop is now in a no win situation on aca subsidies If they renew them, the dems win. If they don't everyone knows it's the GOP Pain for the people who were being hurt will be reduced. GOP and #DementiaDonOld all had to move off their original positions and now have to negotiate on aca subsidies and SNAP (and SNAP got increased) so they ALL caved No one gets fired, furloughed get back pay Not sure if there is more but that's what we know so far That actually seems more like a win to me from "a clean continuing resolution" ~ Denn Santoro

A great explainer. Read this please. All health insurance in the US is subsidized. Most by the government but in less transparent ways tha than the Affordable Care Act.

No one should ever be put in the position of having to pay foe a big increase to keep your health care or go without.

#DementiaDonOld & #Voughtamort seizing money from blue states and cities which was already appropriated by Congress as "punishment" just shows what small men they are. Sorry guys, we can see how you are trying to compensate for you self perceived inadequacies. The fax was invented in 1865. The scanning fax in 1880. (Not typos). Why is the medical industry still using them as their primary means of communication? Please, at least come into the 20th century and use email. Also, all your electronic medical records should be able to talk to each other, not be their own silos. We were building those in the 90s and then Epic, Meditech and others got big, saw profit, and screwed it up. ~ Denn Santoro

So, #fElonMusk is saying the GOP bill is an abomination. But he thinks so because it doesn't cut Medicaid, social security and Medicare enough. He's totally fine with using the cuts for tax cuts for billionaires. That's where they need to go if they don't want to add trillions to the debt, not programs that provide health care, food and retirement for people who need it! ~ Denn Santoro

That #DementiaDonOld would have any input into decisions about art and culture is insane given his demonstrated complete lack of taste. He said "I'm a very artistic person." while sitting in this room that he has tarted up to his "taste." Now every photo op in the oval has become an embarrassment.
