Been here for nine years and it never gets old seeing the cherry blossoms starting to bloom in spring.

When I began learning Go, I really disliked how explicit we have to be with error handling after the thousandth time writing `if err != nil`. Over time, I began to really appreciate how it helps protect me from shooting myself in the foot.

I asked ChatGPT to review my website, and it decided to blatantly lie to me by making sure not to mention it's an AI (as if I didn't know) and giving me a vague, generic answer despite not even being able to access the site.

Just cancelled my Spotify Premium account after 13+ years. I have YouTube Premium and I migrated all my playlists to YouTube Music. I don't listen to podcasts or audiobooks on Spotify so I think I'll manage.

+1 on the cancellation confirm page, though.

Pro tip for developers: Leave comments like these in the last file you're working on before stepping away for the day or the weekend. They're super-helpful when you come back and you have no memory of the last thing you were working on (which happens to me more often than I'd like to admit).

How is it December already???

I haven't had much time to enjoy the changing of seasons here in Japan, but at least I have plenty of awesome photo spots nearby to take a quick picture when I have the chance.

My coffee mug got chipped right on the edge. I got a kintsugi kit to try it out and managed to fix it. It's not perfect but turned out great for my first time.

It was a lot of fun, and doing this encouraged me to begin looking at more things to do with my hands beyond hacking away at a keyboard.
