Useful insight but I do not see an ambient temperature in your assumptions. In Minnesota this month with sub zero temperature the heat pumps are mechanical space heaters (COP 1.0) and should not be run to save wear and tear on the compressor. My gas furnace is 95% efficient. Depends on the climate
