Today is Meck Dec Day. 250 years ago today, a couple dozen Scots-Irish Presbyterians gathered in Charlotte to declare that the people of Mecklenburg County were free of British rule. And Captain James Jack delivered that news to NC representatives in the Continental Congress in Philadelphia.

Today is Meck Dec Day. 250 years ago today, a couple dozen Scots-Irish Presbyterians gathered in Charlotte to declare that the people of Mecklenburg County were free of British rule. And Captain James Jack delivered that news to NC representatives in the Continental Congress in Philadelphia.
It was a great time of worship with the saints of Pineview Baptist Church, a church #onmissiontogether with @ncbaptist in Goldsboro.

A day spent wandering through the Croatan National Forest. Catfish Lake, Great Lake, a Bikkie cameo. Terrain wasn’t really challenging, but we did get some mud on the Jeep. Mud is like makeup for a Jeep. Got to get dolled up when you leave the house. #jeepin #jeepwave #jeepgladiator

It took me too many years to understand and apply the truth of Proverbs 20:3. Not only is it useful to shape our lives, but this truth is a good assessment tool when deciding with whom to keep company and work.
