The gardening season is upon us. The photo is of my broad beans two years ago. This year's are starting nicely.
I also have seed potatoes sprouting indoors. Earlies will be planted in my polytunnel later this month. Tomato seeds to be sown soon.
I must still make time to continue writing.

Inheritance Tax on farmers is big news, but the media have not picked up on IT on pension funds, which will form part of the estate of the deceased, and will bring a lot more estates into IT.
Family farms should be exempt from IT but not rich people who buy agricultural land to avoid tax.🤔

My home insurance (buildings & contents) was £525 for last year. The same company quotes £859 for this year, exactly the same cover. Reasons: higher building costs and greater risk from storms and extreme weather events. I have shopped around: same story. Hit in the pocket by the climate emergency.

What on Earth is a Messier Marathon? In late February and early March some astronomers attempt to observe all 110 objects in Messier's Catalogue. They include some of the most interesting objects in the sky.
