The screen was very rusty, but it cleaned up pretty nice, just a little abrasion showing in the corner.

Finally the repairs done to this GameBoy Advance SP main board. I replaced the battery charging port, replace the main capacitor, wire brushed all exposed steel parts and oiled them to prevent further rust.
Next is testing and assembly into a new case!

The GBA SP main board cleaned up quite nicely!
I replaced the two L and R hat buttons, they were completely rusted out. The cartridge detection switch still works even though it is partially rusted. Definitely need to replace the one cap and the battery connector next. Testing after...

Latest project, attempting to resurrect a rusty GameBoy Advanced SP. I got it free of the case, but sorry for the mess, there was literal dirt inside the case. The screws were rusted and the the case cracked. Hopefully I can salvage the main board and the display.

Going to get a replacement fan, the one in there is way to loud even after cleaning and lubrication.

Just finished replacing the capacitors on another GameCube system board. Gave it a good clean. New thermal pads, attaching the heatsink, testing and assembly will be next!

Another GameCube optical drive board re-cap complete. Let's see if we can resurrect this optical drive and save it from the junk heap!

Purchased a Japanese Nintendo GC DOL-001 to repair and mod, it boots up but the menus were in Japanese. Learned about the language mod and added a zero ohm resistor to R6. I love this stuff!
