Way back in the 90s, I saw Eddie Mekka from TV’s Laverne and Shirley. I shouted to my sister and cousin, “Hey! It’s the Big Ragu!” He spun on his heel and speedwalked away.

I don’t really think it’s embarrassing, but Bun E. Carlos, Greetings from Bunezuela, because it sounds goofy and makes me seem like some old guy who collects obscure vinyl. Aw, crap.

In the dumb luck department, I paid about $8 plus shipping for a copy of Previews III.6 (June 1993) with Plasm #0 inside only to discover that this copy is signed in gold by Jim Shooter, colorist Janet Jackson, and artist David Lapham. @davidlapham.bsky.social

Continuing with the re-read of all of Stray Bullets, and #18 is a special kind of fun and a delightful surprise if you love old movies, hardboiled detectives, film noir, even screwball comedies. You may recognize some familiar faces. Agatha Christie vibes at the end, even. @davidlapham.bsky.social

I’m re-reading Stray Bullets and so happy to see this photo in the back of #10, of my favorite people in comics and the only ones whose work I’ve bought consistently for more than 30 years. Evan Dorkin, Sarah Dyer and Maria and David Lapham. @evandorkin.bsky.social , @davidlapham.bsky.social

I saw through Clearsky.app that I was labeled so I subscribed to figure out what it was. Then I saw yours, and I just imagined you writing too many songs. I guess mine makes sense since I got my degree in ancient languages. The account that did is still a mystery to me. It's @oracle.posters.rip

I spent my weekend escaping to the '90s by reading Hectic Planet by @evandorkin.bsky.social front to back while listening to Eric's Trip the same way. I want to stay there and never come back to 2025, but Harmony hit me with a gut punch about waiting for the past.

I want to thank @evandorkin.bsky.social for the occasional reminders of what an awful person Steranko is, so I could tip off my friend not to pay a few hundred bucks to take his daughter to DINNER WITH STERANKO at some local con. This is the only Steranko appearance we ever needed.

That canceled TV show you’ll never stop thinking about?

He brings a certain element of danger and mystery. Wait. That’s not Dale Cooper’s doppelgänger from the Black Lodge on the last season of Twin Peaks?

I’m sketching again, and seeing what @tessfowler.bsky.social is up to made me want to try some Star Trek, so here’s lonely heart Geordi La Forge.

I liked Evan’s podcast episode about it so much that I bought the podcast cover art and found the movie on Blu-Ray. It’s covered in episode 4 of Tear Them Apart!, “What We Watched.”

No answer forthcoming, but I was amused by this bit in Picture Show, Oct. 7, 1922: "House Peters: The Virile Handsome Hero of the Screen," in which he says his finest contribution to film was growing a beard in the Great Divide.

I made this little card for my wife, Sarah, for Valentine’s day one year. The inside says, “You make it SO!”

We used to have a great big whiteboard in the office and for a while I’d do a daily #drawing, usually coming up with the joke on the spot. This was a favorite, in the spirit of the Far Side.

I don't post enough for anyone to do this on my account, but the idea is to "Quote post with one of your favorite films that isn't a huge hit."

I wanted to buy every piece of cover art for this podcast and wish I had this, but I had to limit myself and love ep. 4 and ep. 12.

It’s important to note this so that you can understand his famous “22 panels that always work.” which references “Ben-Day” throughout. What he really meant was whatever process an artist used to produce gray tones, and when he says “white Ben-Day,” he means light gray tones.

I used to do daily white board drawings at work to entertain my coworkers, and on this day in 2017 I did Star Wars 27: Return of the Last One.

Pretty excited to read some early work by Evan Dorkin in the Bank Street Book of Fantasy (1989). @evandorkin.bsky.social

Thanks! I’m not seeing it yet. I just logged in fresh and still see the “sorry!” message. I was hesitant to bug you about it if it wasn’t so supposed to be part of the physical purchase.
