Playing FFXIV in Japanese is way harder than most games, but it is worth it for its prize: Wuk Lamat speaking like the bestest sporty anime tomboy. I love her _so_ much.

By the way, Final Fantasy XIV in French gets the character way better than in English -- in that it's not straight-up, on purpose, sabotaging the character -- but I do find him lacking in flavour compared to JP:
