One major issue with that is that sections can have different lengths, so each track needs its own timeline. This made me think about each track having its own playhead 🤔

Playing with the idea of defining sections in the timeline and add controls for loop etc for each section. That fulfils the requirements of having a play head and being able to duplicate sections and making variations.

I worked a bit with it and didn’t find any reason. Maybe there is but as far as I can tell it’s just very bad design.
