High probabilities it did not.

There are multiple signs of data manipulation, outcome change between registration and publication, retrospective registration, effect inconsistent with mortality reduction, etc. Seems it cannot be trusted

Kind of agree with you, but also get the point of submitting to a journal that has published at least one paper of interest/linked to your study.
But artificially forcing yourself to cite the journal you submit to is odd.
