But Merz comment was disgusting. He should know that there is no confirmation that Iran has or is working towards having nuclear bombs. Also, if the intention is ‘regime change’ it doesn’t justify killing civilians in the process.

Iran: Weeks away from having nuclear weapons since 1995

Longer … since at least 1995. (as per
CNN’s compilation). Yet, Israel is the only country in the region that has atomic bombs, presumably several.

Sorry, I’ll be deleting my post above, because it has a link that I can’t explain. As far as I know I had only text in my reply and since I never saw that article, it could not have been a case of cutting and paste.

Yes, it's dangerous and reckless, with unforeseen consequences.

I just posted about the risks of such an act with more detail. (detailed in the pics)

Striking Fordow: a reckless act with unseen consequences

1. bombing a nuclear facility carries an undeniable risk of radiation release.

2. it would unleash unpredictable retaliation and escalation.

3. it would undermine global non-proliferation efforts.

Demand diplomacy. Reject escalation.

Israel wants US to strike Fordow: a reckless act!

The IAEA Director General, Rafael Grossi, has consistently warned that "armed attacks on nuclear facilities could result in radioactive releases with grave consequences within and beyond the boundaries of the State which has been attacked."

I’m totally disgusted by the G7 pronouncement that “Israel has the right to defend itself”. By their logic, Russia has the right to defend itself, despite having invaded Ukraine.

For anyone aware of Israel genocide in Gaza, those words are abominable.

Fairness stamped on for misplaced loyalty!

I expect better.

Here is for hoping that US’s bullying negotiation style during trade ‘negotiations’ keeps delaying Chinese rare earth exports … this is one away to prevent military equipment being produced and sent to Israel!
