Psychologists say that it is important to NOT break family ties during political schisms, that it does harm to one’s physical and emotional health. They advise not discussing politics which seems like the only path forward with her yet also feels harmful to my health.

I think I spent the entire last year hoping she would “come to her senses” as Trump did so much damage to the USA, was more cruel, mistaken, boastful, greedy, needy, embarrassing, inept, scary than even in his chaotic first term. But she has not and I am exhausted from trying to figure it all out.
