It’s whatever story they think the public will buy. And if it doesn’t work, we’ll try a new one tomorrow!

Ah, Portugal the Man puts on an amazing show. They played Killing in the Name of as the encore the last time I saw them. It was *fantastic* and the crowd went wild. It almost felt like the first time I heard Rage at Lollapalooza

And he’s so out of touch (or emboldened!) that he’s not bothering to hide the absolute waste/greed.

Probably laughing about how Trump owned the libs with that AI poo video.

I suspect that this ballroom is actually going to be an arena where Trump and his cronies will attempt to run over his enemies with monster trucks Idiocracy-style.

20s to 50s here. In Denver, it was a broad spectrum. I biked to the protest and I saw a lot of elderly people walking and biking. It brought a tear to my eye.

It was more closely packed in than any crowd I have seen at the other protests. Also, I biked downtown today and the bike racks were all full. That hasn’t happened at all the other protests in Denver. Today, people were chaining bikes to any railing within a couple blocks of the capitol

Roots too Deep: Millions of Americans rely on Obamacare for insurance coverage.

Sinister: Provides healthcare for people who can’t afford to pay for it out of pocket and named after Obama.

*Everything* costs more. Everything. I feel like we are being nickel and dimed to death on everything.

I’m from the US and honestly it still shocks me. I come across people hiking that have guns visible for protection from bears (supposedly), and it makes me so uncomfortable. I did not grow up with guns in my household and it’s such a strange concept to me.

It’s honestly the ONLY thing that I can point to that indicates we have any shred of decency left in this country.

My hospital pays our CEO millions and then asked staff to donate school supplies for employees because “it is a burden” for some of them. Maybe pay a living wage where anyone can afford basic necessities?
July 19, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Hospitals need greater oversight before they get any help from the government. Healthcare corporations’ CEOs should not be taking home multimillion dollar bonuses while cutting critical staff and resources.
