Great article Brian again patience is so difficult for the fan base. I was taught fishing by my grandpa it really developed my patience . it has been really needed since Roy got traded;but I can now finally see that it will pay off soon.patience is a difficult virtue.

I actually find I’m almost always on the same page as you when it comes to analyzing the hockey game.

Still they are making passes and defensive plays are still involved ; different strategies are developing and at least it’s guys passing the puck trying to open up the net. That’s more hockey than a shootout. Weather 3v3 4v4 or 5v5. We’re on the same page if we don’t like the shoot out.

Well, they were trying to shorten the games and have a winner so the 3v3 logic was there… I would say it’d be very rare that three on three goes longer than 10 minutes. That’s what I would try first.
5on 5 is for the playoffs they’ll take as long as it takes

Personally, there’s nothing I love about the shootout. It’s just not Hockey.

Not for the goaltending unfortunately… hopefully Monty will get the opportunity to rebuild his confidence in the next game. The goalies need to find their groove before the gruelling December schedule begins.
