Yep-just started today for local and national lines for senators. Got a live person for my rep.

Holy crap! I noticed that when calling both of my senators today!

We’re moving it back to blue as people move to Hancock Co. Unfortunately they have to come out to vote to make a difference!

The Dems tried to get the word out. The Reps called all their cronies and advocated voting for him so they could keep the seat. True story. I live here and am involved in the Dem group.
November 20, 2024 at 7:09 PM
We tried so hard to inform people. But too many of the Rep cronies voted for him so they could retain the seat.
November 20, 2024 at 7:04 PM
Yes! We had 3 great candidates running against Jessup!
November 20, 2024 at 7:03 PM
This office wasn’t part of the straight party ticket. People literally had to color the dot next to his name. SMDH (and Hancock Co Dems tried to get the word out)
November 20, 2024 at 7:01 PM
That is precisely what happened. (But it was still a vote for him)

You should be pleased to know that the Hancock Co Dems group is strong and active. Despite this horrific situation, we moved the county more blue than any other county in the state. Smart people in the county WILL prevail.

She didn’t want any interference in the legal case against Jessup. She is mortified that he won but needed to wait until after the plea deal was accepted OR he went to trial. Hancock Co Dems were aware but maintained her confidence because, you know, we have ethics.
November 20, 2024 at 6:56 PM
Yes. As of last week.
November 20, 2024 at 6:53 PM
Oh, it’s true. He’s accepted a plea deal.
November 20, 2024 at 6:52 PM
There were FOUR other candidates, 3 Dems and 1 Lib, running. All four are immensely more qualified and clearly more ethical than Jessup.
Note-we knocked on THOUSANDS of doors and informed voters about this man. He still won because his Republican cronies voted for him.
November 20, 2024 at 6:51 PM
Yep! AND people had to color in the dot on their ballot specifically for him. That office was not part of straight party ticket voting.
November 20, 2024 at 6:48 PM
I live in this county. There were FOUR more engaged, much more qualified, and clearly more ethical candidates for Jessup’s office. We knocked on doors, we informed people, we did what we could to get the information out. I’m disgusted by my community.
