Has public response on Maui been overall positive? When they were first developing these ideas I remember a certain anti-GMO contingency, but I haven’t lived in Hawaii for 5 years, so I’m less connected now.

The rhetoric around "I hate The Government for X" without delineating WHAT part of The Government folks are talking about doesn't help. Are we talking about the president? your reps? Because I, too, am part of The Government and I am just over here trying to study wildfire and forest restoration.

I also see this reflected in a certain lack of sympathy for current Federal workers, even among liberals. Also a lack of understanding about how the cuts that have already happened will impact our country long-term.
