Maybe a horrible idea but I'd love just seeing a video, less defined then normal, of unassorted songs you really enjoy like this one.

Theres a ton of linked scholarly work on r/askhistorians too. The standard for genocide is entirely based around intent, like the difference between premeditated murder and manslaughter.

Maybe you could go read incredibly well researched and resourced Irish Historians like Cormac O Grada what he thinks. Oh wait, he said it isn't a famin. Hm, who to believe, a dude on Blueskky or one of the greatest Irish Historians? No, a resounding majority of historians disagree, including Irish

It is not at all semantics. Semantics is arguing a glider isn't a vehicle because it isn't powered. This is a discussion on weather or not the English wanted to murder every last Irish person like the Germans planned to in World War 2.

In cases of genocide, there are people literally writing "we want all of [these people] dead. It happened in Germany, it happened in Armenia, and it almost certainly is recorded in some Russian vault someplace in Ukraine. Genocide is the purposeful attempt to exterminate an entire peoples.

Genocide is the intenional murdering of people with the aim to completely exterminate the population. The purposeful murder of the entire Irish peoples was bot the intention of the dumbass English's backwards ass policies, thus, it was not a genocide.

You misunderstand what I am sayin. They did intentionally keep moving the food. They thought the Irish were lying about the shortages, and were too incompetent to understand what they had. There is a difference to that and intentionally targeting to exterminate a peoples.
May 15, 2025 at 2:11 AM
It literally was not and the historical documentation is super clear on that (because it makes them look even dumber then doing it intentionally. )
