What are some county shapes that you hate?
That, putting aside from partisanship, just looks ugly and its county borders should be changed?

Looking at the results HD 52 from Virginia on the Gubernatorial level, and you wouldn't guess that Spanberger lost this seat by 3.4 points.
One of the few examples outside of Alaska of "Land doesn't vote" cutting the other way.

He spent more than $2 million dollars and is still polling at around 1-3%

Last thing I'll say about the TX referendums is that this was the closest measure, which I was extremely surprised by, and that, in all of these, South TX is consistenly to the left of other parts of the state outside of the major urban counties, with them sometimes matching Harris county.

Also some counties in East TX being outright against the idea of clean water, apparently.

Just realized, 40% rural Texans in the East and North were like, "Fuck those dementia patients" lol. Wasn't paying attention to this ballot measure so missed that.

Mostly, yeah. In addition to these two

Because I'm a dumbass, I accidently used the old PSC districts instead of the current ones.
These are the current lines.

Being as generous as I can, this is the closest equivalent to NYC's "Commie Corridor" I can think of for Houston, and, uh, forget corridor, is just a small group of precincts.

Consists of 95k people (out of Houston's 2.3 Million people), and although progressive, definitely less so than NYC's CC.

Okay, this update makes way more sense.

Using 2025 VA House of Delegates data on the VA Senate Map (since almost every seat was contested in the House), Dems could've gained 5 seats in the VA Senate, going from 21/40 seats to 26/40 seats if the Senate was up in Virginia this year

Among the Blue here, Rs hold Districts 4,12,17,24, and 27

The Georgia PSC elections that happened the other night technically have districts, but they run statewide, because, reasons.
Here are the PSC districts though, on paper, that they're supposed to represent. Maybe a legacy from when GA was a solid red state to prevent Dems, idk.

The way Texas elects its District Court of Appeals is so weird, when looking at it. Also some counties in Northeast TX where counties can vote for both positions at the same time?

Which fair NJ Map is better? Only differences are in District 7 and 11.

One more Virginia map Im also stealing from Miles, is the level of ticket splitting between Spanberger and Jones.

As expected, highest level of ticket splitting were in rich, educated areas, and lowest was in the Black Belt.

Wait, VA-01 ENDED UP BLUER THAN VA-02???
November 6, 2025 at 5:54 AM
Yay, we’re back to the Left representing the working class again (I know these measures are flawed, idc).

When the Fort Bend County Judge changed his party from Democrat to Republican in 2025 (conveniently when corruption charges were brought against him), Fort Bend then had a 3-2 R majority, and redistricted the Dem gerrymander to a weak R gerrymander.

Old map left, New map right.
