Dems 45 is a community-focused, neighbor-led political organization dedicated to sustaining democracy, increasing voter turnout, advocating for just and equitable communities, and supporting Democratic candidates who embody our values.
We had a very informative community information session on Saturday recapping key legislation passed during last month’s IL veto session (public transit funding, immigration rights, mental health parity, and energy reforms), as well as insights on a path forward for a graduated income tax in IL.

We’re grateful for our Dems 45 volunteers who ventured out in the heat today to door knock for petition signatures for our endorsed candidates. Although the primary election isn’t until March 2026, candidates must obtain voter signatures now thru October to get on the ballot. #DemocracyInAction

Petition season has arrived! Starting tomorrow, candidates seeking to be on the ballot for the March 2026 primary election will begin gathering petition signatures. Dems 45 will be helping our endorsed candidates get on the ballot, including a special canvass event on 8/23, 1 pm. See you there!

Happy Independence Day from Dems 45! We proudly walked in Edgebrook’s 4th of July parade, and had a fun time seeing neighbors and building community. We showed up today to demonstrate our commitment to an America that stands firm for freedom, democracy, justice, civil rights, and due process.
