I always enjoy reading @edzitron.com's Where's Your Ed At, but today's newsletter on DeepSeek and the ensuing AI panic in the US is incredible. This paragraph struck me because it not only applies to the tech industry as a whole but also to the video game industry, as we've seen over the past year.

Biden got 81 million votes in 2020, Harris got 75 million in 2024. Trump went from 74 million to 77 million in those 2 elections. The total turnout did decline, but I think it's fair to say anti-Kamala leftists had a significant effect on the outcome, especially in the battleground states.
