That’s the legs done. I didn’t realise how much bigger this kit is, since all my previous Gundam kits have been Real Grade or High Grade.

I enjoyed this book so much I bought the hardback. I intend to reread it next year.

Piranesi is the name of the main character who wanders a world of endless halls containing countless statues.
I leaned there was an architect also by the name of Piranesi (from 1700s?) who drew many pictures of something similar.

I recently read Piranesi by Susanna Clarke and I have to say it’s a read of the year contender for me. While it’s less than 300 pages I still think about it often.

I’ve started work on the Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial. First up is some panel lining before the parts even leave the sprue.
The detail already is impressive, an improvement over the very excellent HG Aerial.

I built this HG Gundam a few months ago but it’s only now I’ve panel lined it and stuck some transfers on.
It’s the EZ8 (pronounced easy eight), a ground type Gundam designed to operate better in jungle environments.

Here’s a more dynamic pose, showing off some different weapons.

Atlas Gundam is all done now. It’s a bit of a pain to pose with all the moving parts and the giant weapon and shield make it very front heavy, but I’m very pleased with how it looks.

Pod time. With these attached posing is now nine times more difficult, but the #gundam looks much cooler.

That’s the arms done complete with impressive shoulder markings. With that the main body of the Gundam is finished. Next it’s time for the very large side pods.

Yesterday I completed the legs and waist unit. The stickers are very detailed.

I’m playing catchup with these posts as I started a few days ago.
Here’s the head and chest, complete with panel lining and stickers.
Sadly I couldn’t sauce water slide transfers for this kit.

I’d thought I’d start a thread as I’ve been building the Atlas Gundam from Gundam Thunderbolt.

I’ve been after the Full Mechanics version of Gundam Aerial for a while so imagine my surprise when I randomly came across it when wandering around #hobbycraft today.
Needless to say it was an instant purchase.

I just finished rereading A Canticle For Libowitze by Walter Miller jrn as I barely remembered anything at all from my first read about 20 years ago. All that I know was I enjoyed it and I still do now. The book gives you lots of things to think about.

I bought the books again I loved them so much as a child.

That’s all of the Gentlemen Bastards series read (including the short story in @grimdarkmagazine.bsky.social issues 40 & 41). I’ve now joined the many other readers in waiting for @scottlynch78.bsky.social to write the next book.
I loved the first book so much I bought it again in hardback.

My collection of Gundam manga so far. I was lucky enough to find all back volumes of Thunderbolt, but I’m just so impatient having to wait for the release of the latest volumes.

I’m having a blast reading The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I know I’m late to the party but this book is just my thing, a fantasy medieval city following a gang of professional con artists.
Almost finished now, just around a hundred pages to go. I’ve already picked up the other two books.

I remember I got the book free as part of a Weetabix promotion.
Little did I know that this would be the start of a lifelong love of game books.

I had a nice time puzzling this little riddle out in a book I’ve been reading.

I’ve started re-reading the #witcher series of books, I last read around nine years ago. I’m only halfway through the first book but I’m loving it so far. Every time Geralt speaks I hear @dougcockle.bsky.social voice in my mind.

I put together this mini diorama on Sunday. The dwarf was a character in an old Warhammer army. I thought all of this treasure would be a fitting retirement for a dwarf hero.
The model is an old Dwarf Wars King from West Wind Productions.

I’m having a blast reading the original manga of The Ghost in the Shell. The stories and general setting feel much more like the Stand Alone Complex over the movie which suits me just fine.
It even features a Jameson type cyborg.

I recently reacquired copies of these #knightmare books by @davemorris.bsky.social. I loved reading them when I was a child in the early 90s. Lots of nostalgia here. They differ from most #gamebooks in that they have a novella for the first half then the multiple choice game section.
