1984 and Fahrenheit 451 were pretty big impacts on me. Dare I say, they contributed to me becoming a Democratic Socialist. Of course, it took me becoming an adult, voting a couple of times, and getting used to some freedom before I actually understood the gravity of that freedom being taken away.
