A question I have is "what happened between the bears win and now" ? Like jjm has shown he has good stuff in him was that game a freak occurrence and just pure luck ? Did the team just got flue for 3/4 weeks ? Like seriously what changed fundamentally for those swing to happen

Yeah it’s standard for company to just patent anything. Cuz if they don’t they will be left open to tons of attack based on them.

The roots of the problem that allows this are wayyy deeper than Nintendo. The fact that patent exist and are what they are is part of the problem, so this will be hard to change meaningfully.

As a dev/game designer the best is to just not care about them. Your life won’t change because of them and if you end up in a lawsuit against Nintendo were they use those you probably did a lot of other shit(like palword did)
