It’s very frustrating when your parents choose to not heed the advice of friends, family, and even doctors to improve their health and wellbeing and then say that they’re happy to see you because they never know if they’ll be around next year.

I'm upgrading a Rails 3.2 app for a client and experiencing lots of friction caused by one gem that was added almost 12 years ago to the day. I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it might be a freight train.

I'm sad to be missing #DRWFC this year. Thanks to everyone at the @DetroitRedWings for treating us like pros, friends, and even family for a few days every year. I hope everyone has a great camp!

When traveling home from a hotel, I look forward to my bed, comfortable toilet paper, and fast internet. The order sometimes changes based on the trip.

While checking in online for a hotel stay, my room choices on the 4th floor were 404 and 422. Did I want a room that I couldn’t find or one that I may not be able to enter? My wife when I explained my struggle to choose: 🤦♀️.

While I was at Walgreens yesterday, my wife texted me and asked me to also buy some eggs. Since I didn't see any, I asked an employee. He replied that they didn't have any because their refrigerator has been broken for 47 days!
