This is part of my family--my late brother's wife, my niece, her husband and their kids. They are dear to me, and I want a better country for all of us. I have immense privilege, and I'm scared for the future, but the only way out is through so I try to do my part to make positive change.

I'm volunteering with a local Dem group that goes to the local Junior College every other week. We do surveys and education on current issues, and register voters. I'm also representing Dems at local high school voter education sessions to share our values and goals.

We just got home last night from our 3 week trip through OR, WA, and ID to ride bikes and see family. It's good to be home.

First vacation back in CA...rode the Bizz Johnson rail trail in Susanville. CA is just beautiful. River, lush plants, sagebrush, trees, just stunning..AND, a bear ambled across the trail,.couldn't get that on film..

First bike ride in 6 months today...we went to the bike trail and rode 15 miles...beautiful day, and I was proud of myself to go that far. Here's a photo from the day, just fields full of these wildflowers.

What a funny story! I believe I have the only cat in the world who does not give one single fig about sitting in a box. Or a bag or on a stack of papers. He's weird. But he does practice the art of camouflage pretty well
