I was big into this when it was first airing -- the most memorable for me was the episode where Michael Rapreport inherits a house with evil shadows and the one with Bill Pullman where the government discovers a window into another world in the middle of the desert.

What people now call the "Y2K" aesthetic always reminded me of the 70s (even at the time) -- there's a similar playfulness. The "Frutiger Aero" (as it were) aesthetic conversely feels more like it's rooted in the graphic design aesthetics of the mid to late 80s, but with more fake shine, and uglier.

Ahh, nice. I tried to play the remake but found it frustrating and gave up; I didn't adapt well to video games beyond the PS2 gen and barely play them anymore outside of like, OG Pokemon and GBC DQ. I moved to the Bay Area to do PLM work and mostly just buy guitars and watch horror movies these days

Threads looks like they just gutted out chunks of Instagram because they needed something quick and then called it a day. Instagram didn't have a good UI to begin with so I definitely don't want to use something when no effort was made to improve anything; it doesn't inspire much confidence.
