This is the sort of game that should be used a catalyst to push on. Excited for Saturday now.

He has himself to blame, unfortunately.

In that case, it's been a tough 8 years for you 😂

And another one in 4 weeks time.

I was terribly terribly bored last season. There's absolutely nothing fun about getting easily beat every single week.

Back the new manager. And if you need to, give him all excuses under the sun that you gave the previous manager as a way of backing him.

Except this time, it'll likely be alot better.

It would have been like Mourinho staying, winning the Cup for us and using that as an excuse to keep him.

Nope. You can't serve up shit football for so long across multiple months and seasons and expect to survive. Regardless of whether you bumbled a win against worst Man Utd team in history or not

I don't really understand why there would be any genuine judgement after 6 games anyway unless people have been asleep for the last 18 months or so.

Certain people will scream blind "cherry picking" when calling out how shit Ange was domestically. Yet are happy to judge another manager after 6 games.

Our squad is more than good enough and it's certainly better than 17th in the league.

Yeah, I imagine you'll find plenty of passmaps last season just like that Wolves one.

We were a hideous watch last season. Seriously bad, some of the worst I've ever seen Tottenham. I guess it's just nice not to watch us lose every week.
September 30, 2025 at 9:07 AM
It's funny to think about that being the case when you realise just how fucking miserable watching Spurs was like under Ange for over a year.

Saturday was very much like most games under Ange last season. Except we didn't lose.

This has been an issue for decades at Spurs

It's exactly why by the end of the game, no one was particularly surprised that Dr Tottenham showed up.

How does this differ to pass maps from last season?

How does it compare to say Ipswich or Leicester at home last season?
September 30, 2025 at 8:34 AM
6 diff combos in 8 games - its no surprise there isn't much rhythm. I know we have lots of games and some of these are cup rotation.

I think it'll eventually click. I know Frank is known for adapting to opponents but I do think a bit of consistency is required here. It'll come

Onward and upwards.

Even in midfield we've tried:

- Gray/Bergvall with Sarr slightly advanced
- Palhinha/Bentancur/Sarr
- Palhinha/Sarr with Bergvall slightly advanced
- Bentancur/Sarr with Bergvall slightly advanced
- Palhinha/Bentancur with Bergvall slightly advanced x2
- Gray/Bentancur with Simons advanced

..

I don't agree with him not trusting left options, I just don't think he's quite worked out the correct balance.

He's never tried Udogie and Odobert with Simons at the 10 yet for example (well, for 10 mins against Brighton he did). So I imagine that might be tested at some point, maybe tomorrow
