We found that markers such as speed, length and tortuosity of path, and number of angles in the path, among others, helped to distinguish agitation from non-agitated movements.

Social network metrics were also valuable markers, particularly the page rank, which was positively associated with social engagement score over time.

The digital markers associated with social engagement had good face validity-- such as time spent in a room where 2 or 3 others were present, with an increase in the weekly social engagement score by 1 for every 63 more minutes with 2 other participants and 50 more minutes for 3 other participants.

We also are interested in behavioural health analytics and published on machine learning models using wearable sensor data to detect the presence of agitation on a minute-by-minute basis
