I realised I was wrong in not calling myself an artist only because I put no meaning into sketching.
I got lost in the armsrace of fidelity, blind to its futility.
I wasn't partaking as a hobby nor profession, a painful self enforced limbo.
I record myself in many methods, why not in sketch also?

I notice I broke my untold promise to get up to date by offloading old works. I've not broken my promise of sincerity however; Not to imply I've desensitized in such time, I've noticed its better spent elsewhere. I haven't sketched in months. I've never been more productive in writing though.

Despite 'Procreate+IPad' or 'Photoshop+Wacom' being called the go-to's of digital sketches;
I never could grow past Sketchbook. Since I see art as a hobby rather than a career, those pro apps just feel like hassle.
But by extent, ironically, all details in sketch have to be manual and hand drawn...

Although things are much easier to sketch on pencil and paper, be it making new stuff, doodling patterns, working on line detail, blurry shadows, etc.
Nothing quite beats the satisfaction of giving it an explosion of colours you could never find the paint nor brushes for in reality.

Due to regional news, I refrain from sharing such sketches in IRL-linked accs, I wish not be tone deaf and insensitive, regardless of how far these sketches date back to.

But this account is unlinked, indifferent and exclusively online;
I want to use this place for uncorrupted escapism.
