I wrote some rules in a system, made a spelling error and it would not allow me to change it without recreating the whole thing. A vendor of mine adopted the rule before I could do that and now I have to see my "Processe" spelling error every time their product alerts me.

Wouldn't a possible option be to divest all friendships with anyone in their leadership? I know, they will probably just hang out with each other, but there has to be someone they care about that will affect their decisions if that person refuses to talk to them from now on?

There is a fine line between privacy and security. Zero logs means zero knowledge of how a system was hacked. So a 90 day retention is great for finding security lapses and resolving them. It is understandable that anything logged could be abused by an authoritarian regime.

I have mentored as WFH for over 15 years. We like helping anyone who wants to learn. The bottom performers are demoralizing to the rest of the team. They majorly drain your energy because they come up with every excuse in the book to not learn or disappear.
