It's not typical for Anby to try in a fight against significantly weaker or less skilled opponents, and she tends to go through the motions in fights like that. She sometimes starts day dreaming mid fight, pretending that she's the protagonist of an action movie

Anby is a trained ex-soldier, once the best of the Defense Force's Obol Squad. As such, she's exceptionally skilled and disciplined in combat, to the point that average Hollow Raiders and Ethereals provide little challenge.

(My) Anby is a clone of Joyous, one of the original 7 Void Hunters. Joyous, S11 and Anby have a strong resemblance, and Hoyoverse love their clones, so it's not even that unreasonable. Anby isn't nearly as strong as Joyous yet, and has a lot of room to grow.

Anby's overall lack of common sense comes from her lack of a normal childhood. She was taught to fight, skills outside of combat were deemed uneeded.
Anby's difficulty relaxing also stems from this, which is why she times herself on breaks, despite Nicole not requiring it.
