Wow - we ordered a dog gate for $35 last month on Amazon. We wanted another one - now it’s $45. Can we say 22% tariff? Yes, it’s from China but there is nothing like it in USA at that price point.

I normally wouldn’t resort to this but my pup, Covi the Pug, fell down the stairs & may have a spinal injury. I’m sitting in a ER trying to get help on a weekend- seems to be impossible.

Covi the Pug has passed through Iowa and learned Bonnie & Clyde had a shoot—out with the law in Dexter in 1934 & were killed 5 weeks later in Louisiana.

Covi the Pug rates the restaurant Lu-Lu in the Badlands - $29 for 2 fry bread tacos & a soda. OMG!! He gets ‘location-location-location’ but this severely diminishes his $$ for treats. All paws on the floor and an unhappy face.

Interesting geology to sniff and explore but not as good as surrounding sites.

Covi stopped at the Corn Palace on his way to the Badlands. He felt it was much to-do about nothing. A bunch of small tourist shops in a building left him shaking his head about what people find interesting. The murals made of corn were mildly interesting.

Covi the Pug passed through Nebraska and saw a tornado shelter at a gas station! Stopped at the Old Market area in Omaha, NE which was pretty much closed on a Sunday. Shops looked interesting - especially Raygun - “The Greatest Store in the Universe!”

Covi the pug overnights at a Harvest Host Alpaca farm. Staying at Frerichs Alpacas in West Branch, IA was an education.
Did you know Lammas are protectors & hate dogs? They are a member of the camel family?
Picked up a couple of Alpaca fur dryer balls that are supposed to dry everything faster.

in Crawfordville, IN. Awesome concept except for resulting decapitations when the cells rotated! Mail-order dyi for 18 cities in the late 19th century. Around the corner is Alice’s restaurant. You can’t get anything you want, but you can get a great burger!

On to the RV Harvest Host - Antietam Brewery in Hagerstown, MD. Western Marylands 1st craft brewery. Covi shared a flight of beer & ended up getting two 6 packs of delicious craft beer. Stayed overnight - yay! No driving after drinking. It’s hard enough for Covi to reach the gas without the drink 🐶
