Definitely not a lot going on tonight but still some pretty views 🙂‍↕️ clouds covered up when it was stronger and then as the clouds moved, the light dissipated, but again, still quite beautiful

As long as there aren’t clouds, even if you can’t visibly see it, try to take a few photos and see what your camera can pick up.
CAMERA AND PHONE SETTINGS FOR AURORAS CAMERAS SETTINGS: - Setup your camera on a tripod and select Manual Mode - Set your shutter speed from 2-10 seconds depends on how fast the auroras are moving - Set your aperture (f-stop) as wide as it can go - Set your ISO anywhere from 400-2000 and adjust as needed - Set to capture in RAW if your editing the images and JPEG if not - Set your autofocus to MANUAL and dial your focus to the crosshairs of infinity - Use a remote shutter or turn on a 2 second delay/timer to avoid any camera shake. -Take a test image and adjust your settings as needed TOO DARK (slower shutter speed or raise ISO) TOO LIGHT (faster shutter speed or lower ISO) IPHONE SETTINGS: - Use Night mode (iPhone 11 and later) or manual mode (third-party apps). - Set exposure: 2-10 seconds - ISO: Start between 800 - 3200 and adjust as needed - Turn off flash - Focus: Manual or Infinity - Use a timer to avoid any camera shake - Turn on RAW Max if it is available on your phone to get the best quality ANDROID SETTINGS: - Use Pro/Manual/Night mode - Set exposure: 2 - 10 seconds. - ISO: Start between 800 - 3200 and adjust as needed - Turn off flash - Focus: Manual or Infinity - Use a timer to avoid any camera shake - Turn on RAW if it is available on your phone to get the best quality

This was southern CO last night.
I had a three hour drive home in the dark and not until we got into the mountains near our house, away from enough light pollution, did I notice an odd red hue in the sky. We got up to our house and I took these. Hopefully we’ll get even better ones tonight

Quite literally the only people who see our decorations are of course us and then the mail people. This is, however, what you can see year round. After thanksgiving we’ll add a festive Dino and maybe a Lego wreath 😅 but these lovelies stay year round

East is up It’s been a phrase of hope for most Clikkies for seven years now. East is where the sun rises, where we look for it to know it’s time to try again. East is up is key to the Banditos and their fight to survival. East is up, I’m FEARLESS when I hear this on the low. East is up has taken on another meaning to me in this last year though. East is up is now associated with one of the most amazing people I’ve had the privilege to know. East is up represents a wonderful human with a genuine, caring heart. East is up means safety. East is up literally reminds me often that the sun will rise and we will try again. East is up truly embodies the meaning of the phrase. I love you East. I hope your birthday is as special as you!
