Ice conditions won’t necessarily be be perfect at the Olympic or worlds. Our teams need to be prepared for this … in some ways the great ice that often exists at our Canadian events hurts us when we go to international events.

I understand the draw to the button for TV purposes in the round robin and early playoffs but not for the final. If they are really worried about length of broadcast for the finals just reduce the 15 minute “pre-match” coverage showing practice slides.

Yes Little League sportsmanship … when the US team lost the stands emptied faster than at a Canucks game in the third period, just leaving friends and family to cheer the Chinese Taipei team when they were presented their banner.

In response to this & resulting weaker CAD$ I know of many Canadians who are now choosing to vacation anywhere but America. According to CNN, the US Travel Association notes there were 20.4 million Canadian visits to the US last year generating $20.5 billion in spending. Consider even a 20% decline.

Meanwhile Ravi Kahlon and the NDP continue to mandate density targets to cities like Delta while failing to provide basic supporting services (hospital) and infrastructure (will the Massey tunnel every be replaced).
