Well, it was nice getting out as normal at the weekend, but poor little Lacey, whose Cushings has not caused problems for several years has gone 4/4 lame with lami :'(
So, clipped, feet scrubbed and booted, and "stabled" in the field shelter. We know the drill, but never nice seeing them so unhappy

After a messed up few weeks today was more normal. Got to go up the field as a family (H, myself and the 4 pups) now we have our car back (thanks DHL driver, in future watch the road not your phone). Changed Rex into his new rug (the 200 fill was too heavy) and got cuddles whilst I cleaned the field

Just sharing a few photos from yesterday afternoon, up the field in the break between the storms #ponyhour#horsefeed. Chrys being a good girl about having her rug put on, and her mum Jean enjoying some mince pies ❤️

Sorry I've been quiet lately as dealing with numerous disasters. We're all in one piece though and the ponies have not wanted for anything in the bad weather (though they'd probably say they need bigger feeds). Here's hoping everyone on the #horsefeed and generally has a safe and happy 2025

Feral kitten Siri (Siracha, as she can be very spicy) nonchalantly washing the pugs' octopus while chaos ensues around her like a brave girl #CatsOfBlueSky

Safe to say we had some rain overnight. Looking forward to a day in good company catching up on field cleaning, and hopefully bringing down my blood pressure before the new week starts #horsefeed

I'll be honest, most of what I put on sociable media is just to share the joy of this crew, even on days that aren't fun (like getting to the field today to find a river running through the paddocks)

She's gorgeous, thank you for being there for her. Siri was a feral, found collapsed on an industrial estate, and got brought to us, as we were nursing a litter already. Has some GI and trust issues, but doing well. The boys behind her were thrown from a car and thankfully came to us a few weeks ago

Lovely afternoon up the yard, despite the weather. Introduced a friend and her 2 sons to the ponies, then renewed the twat twins' clips (they're clipped off to help control weight meaning we can still feed them over winter)

Barney (Boo), our gorgeous toddlerbeast sends hugs and snogs to anyone out there who needs them (just don't, for the love of dog, ask why his snoot is that mucky)
