Like, he's very clearly disheveled and drunken here too, but he's still presented with a sort of dignity. A lot of the sequel feels like it's a little more afraid to take itself seriously than the previous game, and it's sad to see Supergiant of all studios lose some sincerity.

With the caveat that I haven't played the 1.0 release of Hades 2 yet, I *really* don't like Dionysus's new look. His design feels like a joke in the way that the original, even if the character himself was silly, did not.

Now you have powers you didn't before and you have new features that scare (and maybe, in a small dark part of your heart, thrill) you.
