2. It challenges my brain's instinct to try to find "the perfect system". No search, no ability to go back and edit, no data backup.
A system is good in relation to the problem it's trying to solve. With journaling, I am trying to document my experiences, and to reflect on my feelings.

I think it will be a good exercise for me for a few reasons:
1. Small mistakes when writing with a pen can't be fixed. They have to be acknowledged (strike through the word), and you have to keep moving on with the writing. No do-overs; the world doesn't end.

In other words they aren't "whodunits" in the classic sense of the term, since the reader doesn't get the necessary clues to put the solution together themself!

Still enjoyable, just a different way.
