I have acquired a floor loom and I finally have it warped!
It came with no cables and I replaced cords and ties. My husband even made a crank! I used the only blog post I could find to learn how to direct warp. I went slowly and made many mistakes. Fortunately they were all fixable.
I LOVE it!

I did it! I kicked my butt to get started on the next project.
I was concerned that the pattern yard was not thick enough. I was right. But at least it’s enough of a difference.

As a fed married to a fed, I’m not ok these days. I’m struggling to find motivation to do anything outside of work.

Next project underway. Wishing I picked a lighter blue as it’s not distinguishable from the green in this setting. Hoping it sines out a bit after it’s washed. Ah, still learning.

This is what some well meaning hikers said on a hike in Colorado. It was definitely not “just two more switchbacks” and continues to be an inside joke between my husband and me on rugged hikes.

My brother turned 40 this year. He just got his first phone. What are some good apps to get him started? He wants to text, but can only read and write certain words he knows by sight. Is there something that can make texting more #accessible for him?
