the tendency toward strongmen who demobilize the population through disenfranchisement and/or general discouragement is a transnational phenomenon affecting advanced capitalist states all over the world. russia isnt responsible for this trend, it is a result of it.

my understanding of naval range is that carriers help the destroyers and frigates do that job more efficiently but maybe im just not familiar enough with the subject.

that would be more outfitting those shipyards to make larger ships/carriers with the above situation more about making that transition smoother. Last i read from US navy intelligence, china is still happy to let the US do this, though.
