What is totally depressing is the reactions of people to a dailyfail story without giving it a bit of thought. Was also listening to LBC yesterday evening when a presenter kept saying the same thing even though someone tried to put her right. The media, with few exceptions, have a lot to answer for.

I very much doubt this is what was said but that the Daily Mail has turned it into another labour bashing headline. And I for one would love the choice of a smaller dish for a lower price rather than being served the same plate of food as my much larger husband!

The pipeline between a thing happening and people knowing about it (and understanding it in context) has collapsed to the point most people no longer have any idea what's going on.

The timeline is unsettling because it's clear how we got here AND that there's no obvious course correction available.
