Ordered one book for the kids and got sent too. Not a bad thing bc now they can have one each without fighting.

(1/10 have the variation of the blackbird being dressed as the groom, ignoring the lyrics, and in all the books I’ve seen it in, and it’s an incredibly common song, I have seen one blackbird with female plumage)

There’s a children’s song in German about birds holding a wedding, and in it the thrush is the bridegroom and the blackbird is the bride.

Twin problems: Kira brought Belch a hat a couple of months ago that Barf has now decided is theirs, and we can’t get a replacement, so I got to spend all evening putting whiskers and a ribbon on this one instead. Pretty pleased with the result
